- Free time at Richardson’s Beach Park, a favorite local black-sand beach with frequent sightings of Honu (Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle)
ADVISORY

- Please dress comfortably for a tropical climate, wear sturdy covered walking shoes, and bring a light rain jacket and/or umbrella.
- We will be walking over some uneven ground for the initial part of the tour.
- For the second part of the tour, be sure to bring your slippers (flip-flops), swim-wear, sunscreen, towel, and snorkel gear.
ITINERARY
- 7:30am – Gather in front lobby of Hilo Hawaiian Hotel, Bus Curbside
- 7:45am – Depart Hilo Hawaiian Hotel
- 8:00-8:45am – Tour of Pacific Aquaculture & Coastal Resources Center
- 9:00-10:30am – Tidepooling
- 10:30-12:30pm – Free time for lunch & swimming/snorkeling opportunity at Richardsons Beach Park
- 12:45pm – Bus Departs for Hilo Hawaiian Hotel
- 1:00-1:30pm – Refresh at Hotel
- 1:45pm – Shuttle to UHH Campus for Afternoon Conference Sessions.
